Every Il Giardino di Corten project begins with the raw material. Corten, in fact, is the basis of all products: its characteristics and the processing it undergoes are a key factor in the quality of the final products.
The beginning
In one of the smallest municipalities of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in Sauris, in the mountain area of Carnia, Paolo Schneider opened his business making metal walkways for aqueducts, the Officine Meccaniche Schneider. The year was 1865.
The passion for metalworking became a heritage of knowledge and know-how, the testimony of an art that is handed down from father to son. And like all things that come from the past, it gives its best when it meets innovation and creativity: Schneider, in the 80s became the synonym of automatic gates and doors.

Designing uniqueness
Since 2008, the Corten has become the founding core of an original outdoor concept, furnished and enriched with accessories that reflect the lifestyle of their owners and cherish, at the same time, the philosophy of the Schneider family.
Corten is the primal material of products destined to evolve to shape outdoor spaces that become a new home. The design, which is developed from this type of steel, also changes to pander from time to time to the needs of the offerings aimed at the outfitting of gardens, homes, patios, private and public spaces.
